London Fashion Week - Burberry Spring 2011:
London Fashion Week:
London Fashion Week kicked off today with a selection of designers who served up a mouth-watering rainbow of spring colours and fabrics. The colourful creations included a short, metallic, weaved dress by Paul Costelloe, described as “Tinkerbell-turned-party girl”, with flirty hems hiked up to mid-thigh and worn with metallic biker-jackets. Minimalist dresses and cat-suits by Maria Grachvogel were printed with vivid hand-painted images of huge moths and wolves on draped silk satins and semi-sheer crepes. There were more silk prints, this time from Caroline Charles, in a floral 1950s style, with matching gloves of varying lengths. The overall effect – glamorous and effortlessly chic.
And the day is not over…still to show today are Hannah Marshall, Sass & Bide andPPQ with Brit favourites Matthew Williamson and Vivienne Westwood on Sunday.
